The NFVCB, National Film and Video Censors Board, approved 66 movies for Nigeria viewers, as it was claimed on Tuesday in Abuja.
The
statement enlisting all the movies was released by the Acting Head,
Corporate Affairs of hte board, Mr Caesar Kagho. The list includes 34
movies in English, 18 in Yoruba, 13 in Hausa and 1 in Ibibio languages.
It was noted that only one of the movies in the category for 12 years and above, 'Ebube' was approved among these 66.
The
category for viewers of 15 and above, that is not to include any fetish
rituals, strong language, imitable technique, sex and violence, had 27
movies approved, including “A little shift (English), “Joy of madness“
(English), “Halwa“ (Hausa), “Zaman Aure“(Hausa), “Ere“
(Yoruba),“Ogomide“(Yoruba), “Away match“ (Ibibio).
Movies for
viewers aged 18 and above, limits on strong language, rituals, imitable
technique and sex, included “Supreme verdict“ (English),“A Night with
Governor“(English), “Mai ciki“ (Hausa), “ina mazan suke“(Hausa),
“Agbebo (Yoruba), “Eaga“(Yoruba) among others .
The other movies
approved included “Strong mission (English), “Together Apart“ (English),
“Open Actor“(English), “Open Altar“(English), “Chasing Shadows“
(English), “Abdulmalik 2“ (Hausa), Abban Syama (Hausa), “Adee Ferani
(Yoruba), “Taseri“(Yoruba), “Tasere“ (Yoruba).
