Nigerian rapper, Olamide Adedeji who was on the born 15 March 1989, popularly known by his stage name Olamide, is a Nigerian hip hop recording artist born in Bariga, Lagos State.

The 26-year-old rapper has come a long way and has managed to carve a niche for himself in the Nigerian rap scene while blending and refining his rap art over time having released 4 studio albums.

Eni Duro – Eni Duro is one of the first songs released by the rapper under his Rapsodi album. The song is a fun listen which gives 4 plus minutes of witty bilingual punchlines and metaphors. At the time the song was released there was a temptation to compare him with the late Dagrin, because he flawlessly mixes English and Yoruba, but it’s obvious that their styles are intrinsically different and the rapper has even evolved for the better over time.

Eleda Mi – This song was released off Olamide’s third studio album, Baddest Guy Ever Liveth [BGEL] and definitely was a street anthem and a popular song at Parties. The video for the song was very eye-catchy and further made the song a popular one. The song speaks on how the rapper aspires to become greater in life while praying for all of life’s good things.

Omo Anifowose – Omo Anifowose is one of the deep songs released by the rapper. The song which was released off his Baddest Guy Ever Liveth album talks about how he the rapper grew up, the travails of his parents and their struggle towards raising him as a child and how these factors helped him become hardworking. The song features a sample of King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall’s ‘Omo Anifowose’ track and it’s a song that the bulk of Nigerians who grew up in the Ghetto can relate to and thus made it a favorite.

Durosoke – This might as well be ranked as Olamide’s greatest and most successful song since he kicked off his rap career. The song which was an instant hit Sky-rocketed the rapper into very high realms and made the rapper a household name.

First of All – First of all shows another side of Olamide’s versatility as he teams up with producer, Pheelz to create an ‘Azonto’ inspired song which automatically became a street favorite as well.

Story for the gods – Story for the gods is another amazing track by Olamide which also became an instant hit, although it was banned by the NBC for being too vulgar, the song continues to be a favorite among his fans.

Turn Up – Olamide makes another yet exceptional party banger which got several fans turning up massively and grooving as the song is being played anywhere. The song earned him an award at the 2014 Channel O Music Video Awards in the Most Gifted West category.

Omo To Shan – Omo Toh Shan works with Wikid on this track and Olamideadmitted that this song actually opened doors for him because Wizkid decided to work with him on it.

Stupid Love – Olamide teams up with producer, Samklef on this one and the result was amazing. The song was a trending song in the country and it enjoyed massive airplay. The ‘Azonto’ themed song also gained fans for the rapper.

Awon Goons Mi – Olamide dropped this massive single titled ‘Awon Goons Mi’ while his fans waited for his 4th studio album, Stret OT. The song had a creative video which further complimented the song.
