Talented R’n’B/soul singer, Femi
Adeyinka popularly known as Capital F.E.M.I’s recording deal with
foremost music label, Kennis Music has expired.
E-Rave can exclusively report that
Capital F.E.M.I’s contractual agreement with the label expired few
months ago and the singer is not signing a renewal. However, he is
grateful to the label for the huge support given to his career.
F.E.M.I, who joined Kennis Music upon
his return into the country from America in 2011 earlier hinted his
departure from the label in a chat with E-Rave at COSON 5th anniversary
that he has been working on putting out new materials but waiting for
the appropriate time to do so. “I am working everyday but sometimes it
is worth the wait to gather yourself to prepare new materials for your
fans”, he said.
As part of his new moves, F.E.M.I is
putting finishing touches to his newest single scheduled for release in
the month of June. Also, he has put together new team that will be
handling his career. He now joins the ranks of Jaywon, Essence and
Minjin who all recently parted ways with the label that once housed one
of Africa’s finest talents, 2face Idibia.
