M.I To Perform At Lagos Jazz Series

One of Nigeria’s biggest rappers, Jude Abaga, popularly called M.I, is set to hit the stage after the release of his latest album ”The Chairman”.

M.I will perform at this year’s LAGOS JAZZ SERIES. An international music festival that is fast becoming one of Nigeria’s biggest live music festival.The festival has featured some of the biggest names both in the International and home-grown artistes in the past including Bob James with Four Play, Marcus Miller, EFYA, Hugh Masekela, Roy Hargrove, Olamide, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, 9ice, and many more.

Organizers of the festival recently unveiled the artistes performing at this year’s edition taking place from the 28th to 30th November, 2014. The event will be held at two separate venues – Muri Okunola Park and Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

M.I is the headline act for the Muri-Okunola park venue, which will also feature his brother and label mate, Jesse Jagz, fellow Jos boy, Ruby Gyang and others.

Soul singer and Cape Verde beauty, Lura will be headlining the Federal Palace venue.  Lura has performed at sold-out concerts in Europe, USA and Asia. She was also nominated for the British BBC World Music Awards. Also performing at the Federal Palace venue is Afro-beat sensation – Seun Kuti who has just returned from a successful world tour.

Founder of Lagos Jazz Series, Mr Oti Bazunu has promised Lagosians an experience of a lifetime at the event. Speaking on the event,  Bazunu said “We have put together a fresh blend of artistes from Jazz, Soul, Hip-Hop, and Highlife. This year’s event promises to be a thrilling feat as guests would be treated to hours of snazzy, world class performances.”
