Forget M.I, Olamide, others, Dagrin’s albums are Nigeria’s best rap albums – Orezi

Afro pop singer, Orezi has declared the albums of late Nigerian rapper, Dagrin as the best rap albums ever released in Nigeria.

Speaking in a recent interview with HipTV, as the Nigerian entertainment industry honours the memory of the gifted rapper who lost his life to a tragic motor accident 5 years ago, the ‘Shuperu’ singer said: ‘As far as I’m concerned, Dagrin’s albums are the best rap albums Nigeria has ever produced.’

Olaitan Oladapo Olaonipekun, aka Dagrin, who has two albums Still on the Matter and CEO (Chief Executive Omoita) was pronounced dead exactly eight days after he was involved in a fatal auto accident in front of Alakara Police Station along Agege Motor Road, Mushin, Lagos.

Dagrin, aged 26, died at 6pm on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the Lagos State Teaching Hospital, LUTH and was buried on Friday, April 30, 2010 at the Ebony Millennium Private Vault, Atan Cemetery
